Current responsibilities: Shawn and Dierdre help the Yao people by teaching and providing basic healthcare.

Ministry news: It is difficult to put measures on what we've done, so forgive us if the area of public health education sounds hazy. The forum that we're choosing to go through is village development clubs. We've spent, and are continuing to spend time developing relationships with the members of these clubs, and the leadership in particular. The big picture is that through these clubs our team would lead people to our Lord, as well as address many facets of peoples' physical lives; agriculture and health being foremost among these. This past year we've been addressing their worldview in particular: the misguided worldview that sickness is sent by God and that we are powerless to make a positive difference in our lives. We've done this through skits, discussions, surveys, etc.

Current prayer request: The kids birthdays are Barak - 05/02/03 and Havilah 08/23/05. Current prayer involve the move to Mozambique (still working with the Yao) and boldness in continuing to share our faith in a way the Yao can understand.
